Back In the Dungeon

Got a real nice 60 minute run in today down in the "dungeon" with Howie. He did some heavy pedal pushin' on the spinner while I went for a gentle stroll. It felt good though. Just the right kind of run before I do a longie on Saturday out at Jubie. Supposed to be wicked cold that morning, but oh well. I need to suffer a little bit in these conditions we've got going on right now.

I'll get more core work in tomorrow and take Friday off to get some much needed errands ran like groceries and such. The fridge and pantry is runnin' on empty these days and needs some serious stocking. I get to testify in court tomorrow to revoke some loser's bond. Plus that means I get off early. A win/win for me.

That's More Like It!

Nice Bradley Park run today. Actually I suffered a bit getting started, but I felt pretty good at the end. Layoffs suck! It was pretty cold, but I warmed up quick and was actually pretty comfortable throughout.

The rsst of the week will go like this:
Tuesday-Core/stretching
Wednesday-60 minute run
Thursday-Core/stretching
Friday-Off
Saturday-90 minute trail run at Jubie

MMBF MADNESS

No running again this week with my altered work schedule. I was supposed to go caving tomorrow for the first time but my mom's health is a little shaky right now so I'm staying home. Things are better, but I hate to chance it being down in some cave in Indiana.I will be heading out to Jubilee tomorrow for some frozen trail goodness. I'd love to get a nice solid 60+ minutes out there before going to watch a wrestling meet.

We did get a lot of MMBF stuff done this last week. The website is up and new info is rolling in daily. I think the online registration is up and going also which is cool. When I learn how to do that type of stuff on here, I'll get some links up.

Slack Ass!

That's me. Lots of MMBS stuff going down this weeks so far and not much runnin' and it's driving me fruckin' nuts. Darkstar Orchestra concert this weekend and PAMBA's doin' the beer sales. Hopefully we can make a load of cash for the MMBS. Perhaps some new shoe shopping tomorrow at Running Central.

Not Much Work

But it hasn't been a total loss this week. I got a nice recovery type spinner ride with Howie on Monday, but do to staffing at work, I've been days all week. Days drain me a little bit. On the bright side, my diet has been fantastic and my weight was back to 211 lbs. today and that after a night of burgers and fried bar bar food in Moline at Bent River....yes, another WBG show. They kick ass!

Next week should be more productive for me. Even if the weather turns sour, I hope to get some good running hours under my belt this week. I may have to get back on the trainer too. Hopefully this weather turns out to be not as bad as forecasted and I can get some RIT miles in. My workout schedule for the week is on hold until I see what's going to happen with the weather.

Mudfest

The Siberian Express was quite the experience. It was muddy as all get out for most of the course. I watched multiple people run out of their shoes and have to go back and dig them out of the mud. There was hills that people were clawing to get up and it was literally a trick to get from tree to tree up the hills. I was o.k. with my run overall. I felt good throughout. I was pretrty slow, but I'm not concerned with speed right now, especially on courses like that. I do wish I had my bottle of Heed with me though. I was o.k. without it, but I'd have rather had it. I know now that any of my runs I have left, I'll need to have it with me.

Finally got in "The Dungeon" last night with Howie. Not a lot of pain, but a lot of spinning out the legs and recovery for both of us. My legs apreciated it today. My schedule for the week is up in the air right now. I'll sneak some runs in when I can and just try and get through the week.

Eastward Bound.........Headin' Home

Having to head towards the Danville area today due to a visitation I need to attend tonight. Wierd that it was the same weekend I was going that way for the Siberian Express. It just made things a little hctic for me today. I had big plans of grocery shopping, Little Ades, hit up some local bus for the Festival, etc. Instead I spent all moring packing, getting clothes ready, and getting our liquor license stuff taken care of for another beer sales opportunity. A quick stop at the Tiffsters and I'm out.

My foot is starting to feel better today. Normally I would get a light run in the day before an event, but I went ahaead and stayed off of it today. I'll be in my new shoes tomorrow so I should be o.k. I'll have to replace my road shoes early next week. My Adidas have been good to me and they've seen a lot of miles. I'll retire them with honors.

Packing sucks too. Especially when you are planning a vivitation, a race and hangin with the boys all on the same trip.

So, bid me a safe journey and a good run at the Express. I feel good and my legs feel fresh. I remembered my camera and I'll take some pics this time around. Let 2007 begin with this small step towards my big goals later.

Good Start to 2007.......So Far

Nice run on Monday at Bradley Park and followed it up with some trainer time this afetrnoon before work. I really wanted to be on the RIT, but time just wouldn't allow. Tomorrow I'll get another 60 minute run in, probably at Bradley Park again.

I did have a bad end to my day with my eating though. I broke down and ate El Mex. I just couldn't stop myself! If I could just eliminate a couple "trouble" spots with my diet I would be set. El Mex has to top the list. I love it, but it doesn't help me on the scale. I need to go away from my steak burrito and back to the chicken torta.

Two other areas to address are core and flexability. I need to make sure I am working on both. I would really benefit from some yoga actually and that may be coming soon.

Sounds like muddy conditions for the Siberian Express. That's fine by me. I want to suffer. It will just be another experience for me to say I've taken on if conditions aren't perfect in August and October.
