Took me a nice run to and around the golf course today. It was a nice 55 minute jaunt. Best of all it was on grass. My knees, hips and back have been a little stiff the last few days so I thought some give in the ground would do me some good. The course wasn't super busy so the golf ball trauma fear wasn't very high either. I just kep to the extreme edge of the course along the tree lines and kept my eyes up on the tee boxes so I knew when or if I'd have to duck. Overall I'd say the golfers were o.k. seeing me there. I just tried to stay out of their way as much as possible. It forced me to doubleback a couple times though and gave me some more time out.
Tomorrow it's back to core and stretching. My back is giving me a bit of trouble tonight. I know if my back goes I'm done, so tomorrow will be critical. Friday I plan on hitting the bike for a couple hours to give it a little more rest. Hopefully by Saturday I'll be feeling a little better and will be able to get a nice 2.5 hr. or so run in at Jubillee.

Lazy on the Bloggin'
So far so good this week. I guess that's not saying much since it's only Tuesday. I had a nice run yesterday and hit some core and stretching today. I'm hoping for a nice run around some golf courses tomorrow. I'd really like to be on the trails, but that doesn't seem likely right now with the recent rain. I know the pavement is beating me up right now and I need some soft ground.
MMBF is taking off. We should have a schedule of events up very soon. I still can't believe how big this thing has become. All I can do is pray for dry weather that weekend.
I think I need new shoes!

Busy Week
We had a PAMBA meeting on Monday afetr work(no training for me). Spent Last night with Tiffster after work (no training for me). Today I at least got some core work in at home before I got some housework done. I even made it to the range before work at 2 p.m. I hope to try and get a run in tomorrow, but I need to hit Little Ades before work. I'll keep my fingers crossed. Friday it's days again and I have a long run planned for Saturday. I'm hoping for over 2 hours.
I got through step 2 of the secret plan. No date yet for step 3 but it shouldn't be a long wait.

Spent
That's how I'm feeling today after my run. Don't get me wrong, it was a good one. Two hours at Jubillee makes the legs feel a bit tired. It was a great end to the week though and puts me on a schedule to hit my marks I'm shooting for come the end of June. Now if these trails would just dry out so I could get some time on them.
St. Patty's Day and it shopuld be a fun night at work. Combine it with the AA state championships in town and you know there should be some excitement. Hopefully not involving me though. I can guarantee no foot chases tonight!

Back on the Road
Was fortunate enough to catch a ride with Howie tonight. It was my first "real" road ride of the season. Howie was on is MTB gearing up for the Trans Iwoa race, but it was just a recovery ride for both of us anyway. He's had a lot of long saddle hours the last few days and I was still a little tight from my long run on Saturday. We went out and just threw down a little loop and spun the legs out a bit. It was nice just being out again. When it was all finished we had some salmon, rice and asparagus for dinner.
he weather was fantastic and looks to be even better tomorrow. I'll shoot for a nice run through Bradley Park and on up to the golf course. I might even try Glen Oak Park and Springdale cemetary.

Not The Run I was Looking For
I'll try and tell this story as best I can. Yesterday I'm sitting in court and look back. I see this guy who I believed to have at least one active warrant. I'm thinking, "why is he in court?". I convinced myself that the guy must have already had the warrant served and was in court to take care of it. Just to be sure I come back to my office to check because I don't want to spook him. Sure enough, the warrants are good. I go back to court and he's gone. I'm told by another PO that when I left, so did he. I decide to go downstairs and let the guys at the checkpoint know what's up. As I look outside across the street, I see him. I tell the security guys to call PPD and let 'em know. I head out the door and across the 4 lanes of cars. He sees me coming and the race is on! We start out down the street for about a block and he ducks into the bank building with me not too far behind. We make a lap or so inside and back out another door we go. He makes it across the street with no problem. I unfortunately get held up by a couple cars. That's all it took. I lost him. By the time I get across the street and behind the building there, he could have ducked in anywhere. It's an alley with three other buildings with back doors he could have went in. I look the area over and check out some dumpsters, but no luck.
By the time I return to the courthouse, PPD is showing up with lights going. I happen to know a few of them and fill them in on what went down and they started checking out the area. Needless to say, my boss wasn't enthused about my decision to take chase. I completely understand the concerns, but I believe that deep down we both know I would do it again if needed. Sure, there were things I could have done differently, but you never know how things roll.

Ramblings
Nothing to report really. I had a nice run on Monday at Bradley Park and hoping to get another one tonight after work. We'll see how much energy I have at the end of a "training day" at work. As long as I get a nice long run in this weekend, I'll be happy.
March 14th is my next date for my secret ops. Better put my thinking cap on for this one.
