That's how I was feeling at the end of the ride yesterday. I actually took it real easy and rode sweep. I did start cramping up a bit at the end of the ride. I never put any Elete in the Camel Back and left my Heed back in the jeep. Lesson learned I guess. I did take a few pics but I'm waiting on TC to get his up. I'll steal a few of his to put up.
Bad news is that Higgins needed his trainer back for his dad. No biggie though. I really want to start logging some miles running. Higgs assures me his dad won't use it and I'll have it back in a couple weeks. Until then, I'll be running a bit more and hitting urbans when I can.

Thanksgiving Day........
and all I've done is eat, pretty much. I took a nap too! I really wanted to do an urban today but it was super windy and cold so I opted to do nothing. I did however throw the road bike on my trainer. I'm ready to start getting in some decent base stuff. I really want to make sure I get some running in to. I had originally planned to do a 5K on Dec. 3rd, but I have a I-74 race meeting scheduled that day now. I am working on dates for next year as we speak. Anyway, the next 5K I see to shoot for is January 28th. I think there are some others that just aren't posted yet. Iknow there will be some Christmas and New Year's themed runs. No word on the trainer job. I think my schedule is just too goofy to make it work. So now I need to go ahead and get myself in the gym and get back to some weights.
Saturday is the PAMBA "Turkey Burn" ride. This year we're hitting Indy and Dirksen for an epic type ride. Sounds like we'll have a nice group. I just hope my out of shape ass can keep up! I hope to have some pics to post from the ride.

Maced........
Yeah, that's right. For my job, I have to actually take mace in the morning. I've been hit with it before when I used to bounce, but it wasn't a good hit. Tomorrow I will pretty much stand there and let some guy shoot it in my face! I'm all ready though. I bought my "no tears" baby shampoo and have 2 bottles of water to wash my mouth out and drink. I'm actually glad we're going through it. If we have the power to use it in the field, it's good that we get a little taste of it ourselves.
No updates on the fitness end of things. My diet has been good. My weight is as low as it has been all year just because of diet. There are still a few 5k's left to do this year so I would love to sneak in a couple.

New Job????
Maybe. Not a new f/t gig, just a side job. I'm meeting with a guy who runs a gym in Bartonville on the 14th. It's not a big place, but it looks nice and is close to home. It's supposed to be a flexable schedule so we'll see if it works out. It will be nice to get back into some training. I really miss it, plus it always keeps me motivated. Nobody wants to be trained by a lardass....some motivation, huh?
I've been VERY sluglike the last few weeks, probably only riding once a week or so. This week will be none. I will get some trailwork in tomorrow though before work. Hopefully the weather holds up. It's pretty stormy out right now. I really want to start focusing on my running for awhile. Hopefully I will get 2 or3 good runs in next week. I need to get my running base back up before I start tackling trail runs this winter.
